You can submit a tip by email or through a secure channel. We protect our sources. We do not disclose the identity of confidential sources without explicit permission — not to law enforcement, not to subjects of coverage, not to anyone.

What Makes a Good Tip

Specific facts, documents, dates, names, and amounts. A general feeling that something is wrong is a start. A specific allegation with a paper trail is a story. Send us both.

What Happens Next

A reporter or editor will review every tip. We cannot promise to publish every story, and we cannot always acknowledge receipt of anonymous tips. If we pursue a tip, we will work to verify it independently before publication.
